Reading about net neutrality... That looks like alot of paperwork. Think I'll wait for someone to make a film about it..

BUFF Enterprises

BUFF Film Festival

Emanuel the founder and festival director had a vision to showcase new talent and create a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy shorts....

http://www.buffenterprises.com/ - the evidence.

Included on the bill was Neil Reidman's Sh*t Happens. Jeff and I both worked on set for this production. Unfortunately it was shown the day I could not make it, but I hear it pulled quite a few a laughs (in all the right places) from the audience.

Admitedly there was the odd technical hitch and it would have been good to see more Shorts than were shown. I met alot of interesting people over the course of the evening I liked the second short, about gun crime.. uncomfortable with the effects, but addressing an uncomfortable subject I felt it really worked. "Merry go Round" (Pui Shaning) an easy viewing romcom was enjoyed and seemed to get the best overall rating and "Billy Blaze" (Jessie Grace MELLOR) hip hop musician from Newcastle Upon Tyne lightened it up further and made me laugh, I know it wasn't to everyone's taste but hey, he was a good kid! - Think of the David Brent dance mixed with a skinny white kid in a shellsuit with Phoebe from FRIENDS' musical talents and I think you might get Billy.. Surrounding the plug for BUFF it felt a tease for what was to come the following day. Perhaps that was the aim but unfortunately I couldn't make it. A great shame as it promised good viewing. Certainly our aim, to get a bunch of likeminded and interested people together was achieved. Just people meeting people. Actors, directors, producers, webdesigners, project managers, chatting, sharing enthusiasm, sparks of creativity.. what can I say, it's a beautiful thing and so yes the evening proved a success. We made some new contacts including a Director from one of the films and I believe everyone walked away with something...

So as a first post, this is a warm up....but nonetheless a warm Welcome!
As a production company, we are in the making and it is the escapades of our making, which I will be bringing to this site. I am extremely excited to be publishing and sharing our journey online... I hope you enjoy..

One of the greatest joys of film production is the diversity of work that varies from job to set. It is this, that I will rely upon on keeping an interesting read amongst the pages to follow. This week alone saw us filming at one of the most iconic clubs our City has to offer. The End. Quite, and the end is nigh. New Years Eve will see the close of this club which has seen some of the greatest Drum and Bass Dj's from across the globe adorn the blue box. We were filming for a documentary that will chart the history of the club, by the people with the best view.. la disque jockey's and their crew. A long night, the results of which I look forward to bringing to you. Pictures to follow. A very different evening was to follow just a few days later, at the Gherkin Building for the 2008 Art Venture Freedom To Create Prize. Can't wait to fill you in on that one!
